Marc Bayram is the PGA Head Golf Professional at Timberlin Golf Club, a position he has proudly held since 2011. A Class A PGA Member since 2009, Marc brings a rare blend of high-level playing experience, award-winning instruction, and a deep passion for player development at every stage of the game.
Marc grew up playing Stanley Golf Course in New Britain, Connecticut, where his appreciation for public golf and player development first took shape. He was an All-State golfer at Conard High School (1998–2001), laying the foundation for a lifelong competitive golf career.
He has since built an accomplished competitive résumé as a professional, highlighted by multiple CT PGA victories and runner-up finishes. Marc continues to compete at a high level and especially enjoys coaching competitive junior and tournament-level players, bringing real-world playing insight directly into his instruction.
Marc has been recognized by his peers for excellence in coaching and youth development, earning Connecticut PGA Teacher of the Year honors in 2020 and the CT PGA Youth Player Development Award in 2015. In 2025, he served as the Head Coach of Team Connecticut at the PGA Jr. League National Championship, leading Timberlin’s junior golfers on the national stage and reinforcing his commitment to elite junior development and team-based competition.
Youth golf is a cornerstone of Marc’s mission—both professionally and personally. As a father of two junior golfers—Marc (Class of 2031) and Max (Class of 2032)—he understands the junior golf journey from both the coach’s and parent’s perspective and is committed to building programs that are supportive, competitive, and developmentally sound.
Since 2022, Marc has also served as the Director of the Under Armour Junior Golf Tour, overseeing competitive opportunities and tournament pathways for junior golfers throughout the region.
As Head Golf Professional at Timberlin, Marc’s goal is simple and intentional: to create an atmosphere where players, families, and members feel proud to call Timberlin home.

Brandon Funari, PGA Associate

Brandon Funari is a PGA Associate and Assistant Golf Professional at Timberlin Golf Course, bringing energy, experience, and a player-first coaching style to every program he leads. With over seven years of coaching experience, Brandon has become a trusted instructor for golfers of all ages and skill levels.
A Berlin High School graduate, Brandon was an All-Conference high school golfer, giving him firsthand experience in competitive golf and player development—experience he now uses to guide juniors and adults alike.
Brandon plays a key role in Timberlin’s award-winning junior programs. He served as an Assistant Coach for Team Connecticut at the 2025 PGA Jr. League National Championship, helping guide one of the top junior teams in the country on the national stage. His passion for junior golf and team-based development is evident in every session he runs.
In addition to junior golf, Brandon is the Lead Coach for Timberlin’s popular Women & Wine program, where he creates a fun, welcoming, and confidence-building environment for new and recreational golfers. His ability to balance instruction with enjoyment has made the program one of Timberlin’s most successful adult offerings.
Brandon is also a Srixon Staff Member, reflecting his commitment to high-level equipment knowledge and performance-based coaching.
Whether working with juniors, beginners, or experienced players, Brandon is dedicated to helping golfers improve, enjoy the game, and feel comfortable on the course.
